Lorenzo Pizzanelli
Born in Florence in 1969 where he currently lives
and works.
training
Was introduced to traditional painting by his parents
(his grandfather – Ferruccio Pizzanelli – was an acknowledged
artist) and graduated at the Florence University of Fine Art in 1990.
He has spent considerable periods in Paris where he frequented various
artists’ ateliers.
teaching experience
For more than 15 years he has carried out a teaching
programme in his studio in collaboration with various schools.
From 1993 – in collaboration with EUROCENTRO Firenze – he
has taught DRAWING and PAINTING to students (including beginners) using
a methodology which allows students to assimilate painting techniques
with satisfying results in a short period of time. Pizzanelli follows
each student individually, stimulating creativity and with reference
to modern and contemporary artists.
artistic research
The expressive interest of Pizzanelli is mainly focused
on the interactivity between works of art and the public. In addition
to interactive and video installations, he creates performances in which
the pre-defined roles of institutional authority are questioned.
Since 1994 he has developed a relationship with new technologies becoming
both multimedia author and director. In 1994 he named his childhood
home “Museo Trans-Unto” and in 2006 he created his first
videogame art work on the history of art, ICONOCLAST GAME.

Silvana Lonardi
Born in Verona , she lives and works in Florence and
Paris.
training
After her studies in Advertising Graphics carried
out in Verona she moved to Florence where she frequented the University
of Fine Arts. She later frequented the Québec University of Fine
Arts in Canada.
teaching experience
While she spends most of her time following her chosen
profession or artist she also teaches in order to divulge her love of
painting.
Silvana Lonardi helps Pizzanelli to follow the students,
and with reference to modern and contemporary artists. From 1993 –
in collaboration with EUROCENTRO Firenze – she has taught DRAWING
and PAINTING to students (including beginners) using a methodology which
allows students to assimilate painting techniques with satisfying results
in a short period of time.
artistic research
Her painting research is predominantly dedicated
to the re-visitation of historic artistic iconography with subtle irony.
For years she has used animals as substitute interpreters
in famous contemporary and historic art works where they move as casual
protagonists of the events which to them are unknown and to which (if
we desire) they remain indifferent
